How to use gel nail polish at home?
- Wash hands and dry thoroughly. Proceed with proper manicure.
- Brush a thin layer of primer gel and leave to air dry for 1 minute. This step is optional but it provides an optimum base for the gel colors to adhere.
- Brush a thin layer of base coat. Cure for 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- Brush a thin layer of gel polish color and cure for 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp. Repeat this step once more or twice if necessary. Usually, light colors like nude shades will require 3 coats of gel color.
- Brush a thin layer of top coat and cure for 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- Wipe the nail surface using a cotton pad soak lightly with nail polish remover to clean the nails.
- Finish by applying some cuticle oil to moisturise.
TOP TIP: Make sure to apply only thin layers of gel colors. This will ensure that the layer will cure properly and to avoid shrinking or chipping.
How to remove gel nail polish if using the Peel-Off Base Coat?
- Soak your nails in warm water (as warm as you can stand it) and leave for 5 – 10 minutes.
- Using an orangewood stick, gently scrape the edge of the gel polish to peel it off.
- Buff the nail surface lightly to remove any excess color.
- Clean the nails and finish!
How to remove gel nail polish using the Gel Magic Remover?
- Using a grit file, gently buff the nail surface to break the seal off the top coat. Clean off the dust.
- Apply Gel Magic Remover only on each gel color coat. Avoid the skin if possible.
- Leave to do its magic for a few minutes. You will see that the gel color coat will start to come off from the natural nail.
- Use an orangewood stick to scrape off the gel coat.
- Gently buff nail to remove any excess color.
- Wash your hands and finish!
How to remove gel nail polish (traditional method)?
- Soak off cotton pads with acetone.
- Wrap nails with soaked cotton pads for about 5 minutes. The thicker the layers, the longer you will need to leave to soak.
- Remove cotton pads and scrape off gel polish gently from each nail using an orangewood stick.
- Gently buff nail to remove any excess color.
- Wash your hands and finish!
TOP TIP: If the gel polish is not coming off, make sure to check that your nail polish remover contains acetone. Some nail polish remover has been watered down and in this case, this product becomes ineffective to remove gel polish.
How to apply nail foil stickers using transfer gel polish?
- Apply a thin layer of base coat and your choice of gel color, curing by nail lamp for 30 – 60 seconds at each coat.
- Apply transfer gel after the first color coat. Cure by nail lamp.
- Cut a piece of nail foil sticker and stick the foil sticker on the nail. Press lightly so the design will transfer.
- Gently peel off the nail foil sticker. The design should be transferred to your nail.
- Apply the top coat and cure.
- Finish!
How to apply nail stickers?
- Trim, clean and polish the nails with your choice of gel color and cure for 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- While the coat is still tacky, apply your chosen design then press down in place.
- Apply top coat to seal the design and cure 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- Wipe with cleanser and finish!
How to apply nail water decals?
- Trim, clean and polish the nails with your choice of gel color and cure for 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- Remove the film from product, cut out the pattern and soak into water 10-20 seconds, just enough for the design to slide off from the base paper. Make sure not to soak for long or the design will be completely wet.
- Moisten the fingernails with a bit of water, stick the pattern in position.
- Dry off excess water with a paper towel and blow dry.
- Apply top coat to seal the design and cure 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- Wipe with cleanser and finish!
How to apply gems & rhinestones?
- Trim, clean and polish the nails with your choice of gel color and cure for 30 – 60 seconds by UV & LED lamp.
- Brush on gel glue on nails.
- Using a gems & rhinestones tool to place and assemble the decorations on the nail.
- When you are happy with the placement and the overall design, cure under UV & LED lamp for 120 seconds. The gems & rhinestones should be set properly.
- Apply top coat to seal the design, make sure the application is even before curing by UV & LED lamp for 30 – 60 seconds.
How to use a stamping template?
You will need a stamping template, a silicone stamper and a scraper. You will also need some lint free pads, nail polish remover and sticky tape.
- Apply base coat or gel polish on the nail.
- Apply the stamping nail polish to desired image within a plate.
- Using the scraper on a 45 degree angle, scrape excess polish in a swift motion.
- Immediately press the stamper with a gentle rolling motion to pick up the design. The image is transferred on the stamp.
- Stamp the image on your nail with a gentle rolling motion. The image is transferred on your nail.
- Repeat the steps for all of your nails.
- Apply top coat for lasting wear.
TOP TIP: clean the stamping template after each use with lint free pad soaked with nail polish remover. Use a sticky tape to clean the silicone stamper.
How to apply polygel nail extension?
- Begin with proper manicure.
- Check that you have selected the right sizes of nail forms.
- Apply the base coat and cure by UV LED lamp for 60 seconds.
- Squeeze out enough polygel using the scraper and add to the nail form.
- Add acrylic solution into a tiny pot.
- Dip your brush into the solution and brush the polygel evenly on the nail form.
- Put the nail form on your nail and cure for 60 – 90 seconds.
- Gently take away the nail form.
- Check that polygel has completely cured. If not, add another 30 – 60 seconds under the lamp.
- File and shape. Apply top coat and cure for 60 seconds. Finish!
